Yogi Sumit ji began his yoga practice at his birthplace, Rishikesh, at age 14. He has studied classical Hatha yoga at Uttrakhand Sanskrit University, Haridwar, Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore and Acro Yoga in Goa. He later added therapeutic yoga to his studies which gives him extensive knowledge of the human body and the proper alignment of yoga asanas. Sumit believes in experiencing yoga first as a student before teaching it to others. He still enjoys broadening his own yogic horizon and is passionate about creating a healthier place for mind, body, and soul by sharing the practice of yoga. Today, Sumit ji is a multi-style teacher with certifications in Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, and Iyengar styles of yoga. He has taught yoga in many countries such as Mexico, USA, Canada, UAE, Thailand, and China. He is an E-RYT 200, RTY 500 Yoga Alliance certified teacher and is currently leading the 200, 300, & 500 hour programs at Maa Shakti Yog in Rishikesh.
Jaggi was born in Haridwar and later moved to Rishikesh. From the very early childhood, Jaggi started practicing Yoga as he belongs to a family of avid Yoga practitioners. He was brought up reading Bhagwat Gita and many other ancient Indian texts which always made him wonder about life. During childhood, he learned Yoga from his Grandfather who was one of the renowned Yogi of his age. Jaggi has completed his formal education in (MSC) in Yoga and science from Gurukul Kangri University. After his college education, he traveled in the Himalayas in search of the masters for many years. During his traveling days, he met learned from many masters and gained very extensive knowledge of Yoga. Jaggi is mastered in Hatha Yoga and has been practicing yoga therapy, marma therapy, alternative therapy, yoga asana, pranayama, and mudra bandha.
Chaka, an International travelling yogini started her personal practice in 2012 and fell in love instantly. She has her own yoga studio called Flow Fitness Academy located in Davao City, in the tropical country, Philippines.
In 2014, she took her practice to the next level and completed her Vinyasa Flow 200HR YTTC at Urban Ashram Center for Yoga under David Lynch of YogaWorks California, and started teaching the same year. She took her time attending trainings and workshops in the country and abroad.
In 2018, she continued her yoga education and took another 300HR Hatha and Ashtanga course in Rishikesh, The Yoga Capital of the World and received Yoga Alliance certification from Shiva Yoga Peeth under the guidance of Yogi Sumit Thalwal. She had an opportunity to train as a Yoga teacher and as an intern at the same time for 3 months; handling the Institute's website, social media and marketing.
She continued travelling in and out of India organizing yoga retreats, or sending students to teacher training courses while deepening her spiritual practice, attending Meditation courses.
In 2020 she organized a holistic yoga retreat in India and golden triangle tour, and as we all know the lockdown happened and she got stuck. She made good use of her time doing online classes, and giving teacher training courses. She's worked with NGOs as volunteer, teaching art and yoga to underpriviledge kids in slums of Rishikesh as a way of showing gratitude to the Motherland. Fast forward to 2022, shes been living in India for 2 years now, and completed another 500 HR YTTC at Maa Shakti Yog. As restrictions are easing up, She's keeping herself busy planning future yoga retreats.
When not exploring new places and seeking new adventures, she can usually be found in a cafe, reading non- fiction books, writing book reviews, blogging about her travel escapades, or designing handmade products to allow her creative juices flowing
Vishwajeet Singh was born Haridwar and later moved to Rishikesh during his teenage. He belongs to Gayatri Parivar (a community formed by saints and spiritual guides) that involved him in many spiritual practices from his early childhood. He has attended several workshop and seminars in Yoga. He is also a visiting faculty to many schools and institutions from all over India. He has extensively studied Patanjali Yoga Sutras, explored the teaching of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, he also studied the work of modern teachers and philosophers like Ramana Maharshi, J. Krishnamurti, and Osho.
